Aryamaan Lakhotia

I help Americans save more at Basic Capital. I also think about and build for India.

Previously: Bank of America, Seed Labs, Priscilla Chan Fellow, Central Bank of Armenia, Openhouse, Harvard.

My 50 dreams for the next 50 years.

I like to pick good quests. Right now, that means helping everyday Americans build wealth at Basic Capital.

Over here, I create AI agents to streamline workflows across platform engineering and capital markets. Some are external, like our inbound voice AI for customer support. Others are internal compliance and trading agents that keep trades executing efficiently, money flowing smoothly from paycheck to investment, and the business in compliance.

Before that, I traded Latin American sovereign credit at Bank of America, where my daily newsletter on bond markets was read by 8,500 subscribers. I sat on the AI council and led a project to centralize credit trading databases and document workflows so internal LLMs could use them as context.

Most of my side projects come from problems I have experienced firsthand. The biggest one right now is VoxBharat, where I am building voice AI for the 900 million Indians who prefer speaking over typing. AI-powered phone calls replace traditional surveys in 10+ vernacular languages, at a fraction of the cost.

Before finance, I worked on product and growth at Seed Labs, was Chief of Staff at Merry as a Priscilla Chan Fellow through Harvard, interned in economic research at the Central Bank of Armenia, and was Community Lead at Openhouse. During Covid, I left it all to farm cotton in rural Maharashtra.
